Curently reading: The Learners by Chip Kidd

Larissa - September 2008

Hello Hello,
I am your friendly-neighbourhood Lit[erature] Pimp; I pimp out literature for a living. This will be my sixth year as Bookseller for the Co-op. I used to be a Concordia Undergrad, back in 2000-2002; doing a Major in Photography. But then I fell in love with the Co-op, my job, my new family, and I haven't been back to finish my degree since.

I love the Co-op. It's my second home; I like to think that that's where it gets its homey feel. The selection we have stems from my personal interests, you could almost say that it is like my own personal Library, except the books aren't (all) free.

Last five books I've read:

1. It's too Late to say I'm Sorry by Joey Comeau (Loose Teeth Press)

2. Twilight (Gasp! The whole series - My Secret Shame) by Stephanie Meyer (MT Press)

3. Coffeeshop Crushes: Tales of Love and Lust in Coffee Establishments Edited by Nicole J. Georges & Jon Van Oast (Microcosm Press)

4. (Re-Read) Blankets by Craig Thompson (Top Shelf Press)

5. Persepolis I & Persepolis II by Marjane Satrapi (Pantheon Press)

If you want a reading suggestion, especially in the fiction department, I'm your gal. You can always find me in the Co-op, but if you need to email, I can be reached at orders.coopbookstore@gmail.com.

Please don't be offended by my wacky (out of wack) sense of humour. I really do mean well. If you would like to come bearing gifts, all of us at the Co-op love cheese!
